Lesson One: Products make Profits

 

Many of us dream of running our own online business, generating income everyday for us, without leaving our home and involving little outlay bar our time to reap rich rewards. So why do more people not do it? What’s holding you back? If it’s a lack of know how to get you started then this is the course for you.

Step One: Products

They all sell associate programmes but there is one glaring problem with associate programs, the owner of the associate program is the only one making the big bucks!

 

Face it, if you don't own your own product, your chances of earning a full-time living online are about as slim as the chances of me seeing Scotland lift the football world cup - it ain't gonna happen.

 

Learn this unchanging, universal fact:  The person who OWNS the product is the one who makes the big bucks.  Behind 99% of internet success stories (there are a *few* exceptions) there is a product that is entirely theirs and more than likely, an entire arsenal of products. Now,  reseller programs are great but, I believe they are best used as a secondary income generator while working the backend...not as your main product.

 

Step one of the system for earning a guaranteed full-time living online is to develop your very own product that you can sell and keep 100% of the profits from.  Got it?

 

Most internet marketing "experts" feel that selling information is the ultimate business to be in on the web.  In fact, with the exception of sex sites (shame, shame, shame) information is the number 1 seller online today.  Electronic information products (delivered digitally in "eBook" format)) are among the most sought after online.

 

Once you create  your information product the business can easily be automated and requires very little monthly overhead. (I spend less than £10 a month)  Since the products are electronic, there are ZERO reproduction costs.  The products can easily be downloaded from your website thousands of times without spending another penny.

 

The profit is incredible.  If the product sells for £29.95, then you keep £29.95.  100% of the sale goes to you, not your affiliate sponsor! There is no need to maintain inventory.  Everything is hosted on your website, with instant access for those who make purchases. You can do this in a couple of ways:

 

1. Develop your own product from scratch. 

Most people immediately want to call it quits right there.  For some reason, people think you must have been born with Ernest Hemingway and Emily Bronte as your parents in order to be a successful writer.  If your genes don't have the Great Novel stored within them, then you can't write. Wrong!

 

Despite what you may be thinking, you DO NOT have to be blessed with special skills and abilities in order to create your own information product to sell online.  In fact, if you can write a shopping list, you can create your own info product!  Don't sell yourself short here, you CAN do it. It doesn't have to be 500 pages.  I have written 10-page reports that I have sold for thousands in profits. 

The key is CONTENT and content is easy to find if you know where to look.  

2. Purchase reprint rights to an existing product. 

Of course, you can also do something even easier, if you choose!  Despite how easy it is to create your own product, maybe you don't have the time or would rather add more products to your arsenal.  You can purchase reprint rights to products that are ready to sell.  These products can be purchased for as little as £1.75 each!  Yep, for less than two pounds you can own your very own product to sell on the internet.

 

The key here is to find *high-quality* products to sell.  You don't want outdated information.  You don't want products that 50 gazillion other people are selling.  You don't want junk. What you want are products that...

 

1.  Are high-demand.  They focus on topics that are hot.  Not outdated, but fresh and wanted.

 

2.  Are ready-to-launch.  They must have an order-producing sales letter and webpage ready for you to plug in your information and begin selling immediately.

 

3.  Are written by an authority.  Again, the key is content.  You want material that is authored by someone who knows what they are talking about and is well respected in the industry they represent.

After you develop your own product to offer as your main source of sales, add back-end products to create multiple streams of income.  Back-end products are products or services that complement your main product.  For example, if you sell airline tickets, you might offer car rental or hotel accommodations as back-end products.  These would be products that your existing customer is likely to purchase anyway.

 

Affiliate programs are great back-end products.  Hotmart has a super directory of affiliate programs, indexed categorically for you to easily find programs that would complement your main product.  

 

Well done – you have finished step one now that was not hard was it – get your own product, Establish your site, buy in reseller rights and affiliates as alternative income sources and you have a powerful profit making machine all online.
